Jul 26, 2018 – AFG Group, Inc. (AFG), would like to announce and congratulate Sulaiman Harris, PMP, CMVP on his recent Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) Project Facilitator Certification through the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

The FEMP certification ensures consistency in project management approaches and enforces the use of energy savings performance measurement standards. Per Federal guidelines, DOE Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC) require that only a certified FEMP Project Facilitator can manage the close out and completion of certain projects.

Sulaiman is currently serving as the project manager for AFG’s professional engineering and construction management contract on the $271M National Deep Energy Retrofit 2 (NDER2) Program, an ESPC with the General Services Administration (GSA) National Capital Region. In December 2017, Sulaiman also attained credentials as a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP), facilitated through the Association of Energy Engineers, and in cooperation with the Efficiency Valuation Organization.

AFG is proud to continue bolstering the DOE and GSA’s efforts at large-scale energy conservation efforts through Sulaiman’s new designations.
