AFG is provided Design and Construction Management Services for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Headquarters build out in Arlington, VA.  Additional services over the course of this project included cost estimation, inspection, design reviews, record keeping, and establishing liaisons and coordination with clients, contractors, and GSA personnel.

The project was involved the renovation and modernization of over 500,000 SF for their nearly 2,500 on-site employees. During production, AFG Group oversaw the building renovation, swing space construction for tenants currently in the Headquarters building, and finishing the Tenant Improvements, as well as Building Security improvements. The lease was signed in September 2018 and shortly after the Design began, Swing Space Construction was scheduled to start in 2019 and final completion for the project is expected in 2021.

Andrew Shipman, CCM, LEED AP, headed up the AFG Group team on the DEA Headquarters project as the Design Construction Manager, bringing over 30 years of experience in construction management services. He has served as the Senior Project Manager on multiple AFG Group projects that received Regional and National Project of the Year Awards from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA).
