NIH Construction Quality Management and Commissioning Services
Health & Science
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the federal government’s primary biomedical research agency, comprising 27 Institutes and Centers and a research portfolio spanning campuses in Maryland, North Carolina, Montana, and Arizona. Its Office of Research Facilities (ORF) serves as steward of these facilities, responsible for the planning, design, construction, and operation of NIH’s owned and leased research enterprise.
AFG provides Construction Quality Management (CQM) and Commissioning (Cx) services to ORF under a six-year IDIQ Multiple Award Task Order Contract, supporting the renovation, modernization, and new construction of NIH’s most technically demanding facilities. AFG’s scope spans design and constructability reviews, estimating and scheduling support, construction quality inspections and administration, and full-building commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, BAS/controls, and building envelopes across biomedical research laboratories animal care and vivarium spaces, clinical and healthcare facilities, and central utility plants.
