AFG has been selected to provide Construction Management as Advisor (CMa) services, supporting GSA’s project team with part-time onsite management and technical oversight for repairs to the Robert F. Kennedy (RFK) Federal Building. The RFK Building, originally constructed in 1935, is undergoing essential structural steel beam repairs and waterproofing upgrades to ensure continued integrity and safe operation.
AFG’s responsibilities include managing project documentation, verifying contractor performance, maintaining quality and safety standards, and facilitating coordination among GSA, tenant agencies, and construction contractors. The scope of work covers structural beam repair, concrete restoration, and comprehensive waterproofing in active drive lane areas. Our role includes maintaining open communication with project stakeholders, verifying schedule compliance, and ensuring the integrity of building operations throughout the construction process.
