AFG was responsible for all construction management as well as inspection services for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Medical Hearings and Appeals (OMHA), a 53,000 SF renovation with stringent requirements for Audio/Visual and Security.

OMHA consists of Judges and Attorneys whose main purpose is to hear and rule on all Medicaid/Medicare cases (roughly 1000 cases per Judge yearly), OMHA wanted to ensure these cases could be heard, viewed, and recorded while the judges were in their chambers here in DC while the other parties could be situated anywhere OMHA has a field offices throughout the United States. AFG’s responsibilities included; facilitation and record keeping of budget and finances for the project, negotiations (budget and schedules), record keeping included (weekly reports and monthly reports for construction progress), coordination of all RFI and submittals, created and maintained record keeping for punchlist and helped coordinate client FF&E’s into the backend of the contractors construction schedule.

Through rigorous oversight, AFG was able to produce multiple cost savings throughout the project life-cycle, totaling nearly $1M in the client’s favor.
