Long-Time Leader in the NY/NJ AEC Industry, AFG VP Announces Retirement

Jerrold Dinkels, PE, AFG NYC Vice President and Director of PM/CM, has announced his retirement.

March 30, 2020, New York City, NY – Following a long career in the New York/New Jersey architecture, engineering, and construction industry in the public and private sectors, Jerrold Dinkels, PE, AFG NYC Vice President and Director of PM/CM, has announced his retirement.

March 31st will mark his final day with AFG as Jerrold has chosen to move to the next phase of his life and spend more time with his family, especially with his 5 grandchildren. In his absence, Michael O’Connor, PE, AFG President, will fill the role of NYC Division Director and managing the NY region.

Jerrold has led numerous major construction programs over the course of his 50 year-long-career, including the reconstruction of PANYNJ facilities after 9/11. During his 4 years with AFG, he has guided the NYC office by laying the groundwork for increasingly larger projects and negotiating teaming agreements with several major firms. His work has expanded the markets that AFG serves to include horizontal work and participation in several billion-dollar programs.
