Sep 29, 2016 – Philadelphia, PA – The General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), National Park Service (NPS) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), has selected AFG Group, Inc. (AFG), an ENR Top 100 CM Firm, to provide a full range of design, renovation, outfitting, and activation management services; as well as relocation management services for the consolidation into the Public Ledger Building.

Built in 1924, GSA’s Public Ledger Building is a historic, 12-story building located adjacent to Independence Hall in Philadelphia. It consists of approximately 535,000 SF and HHS currently occupies 101,398 SF, interspersed over seven (7) floors. The challenge is to reduce their footprint of this organization of 418 employees into approximately 80,000 SF over 1 ½ floors.

As GSA’s representative, AFG will oversee the core and shell construction; all tenant improvements; as well as installation of audio visual (AV), AV/IT data systems, and IT infrastructure. Together with the project needs of the NPS and EEOC, AFG will manage the consolidation of over 150,000 SF of occupied space.

“Serving as the chosen renovation manager of such a large consolidation effort for the GSA is an honor, AFG is known for our expertise in Historic Building Restoration Management and Relocation Services; and we fully intend to create a seamless experience for the customers and the occupants.”
