Catherine Niles Selected for Prestigious SAME Leadership Development Program

In her role with AFG, Catherine is responsible for nationwide strategic and tactical business development efforts and expanding AFG’s federal and military clients, with a special emphasis on the Health, Science, and Defense markets.

Catherine is a dedicated volunteer to SAME and maintains an active role at both the Post and National Level. Catherine, a DC Post Board Member since 2019, is DC’s Director of Awards and Recognition. She is currently Secretary to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Vice President and a member of the Small Business Community of Interest, Outreach Committee and Awards and Recognition Subcommittee. Previously, she served as the Vice Chair for Awards & Recognition on the SB COI, and as the DC Post 2^nd Vice President and Small Business Director where she coordinated the annual SB Industry Day & Conference for 350+ attendees.

Catherine is a 2018 graduate of the DC/NoVA/Mid-Maryland Leadership and Mentoring Program, led by Dr. Robert Wolff, PhD, PE, FSAME, former SAME Executive Director, and is the recipient of the 2019 SAME Distinguished Volunteer Award for the Small Business Community of Interest, and the 2019 Young Professional Award from the SAME DC Post.

Participants explore individual strengths and team dynamics. The program supports the development of the next generation of world class military, government, civilian, and industry leaders for the Society and our Nation. LDP is a yearlong commitment, running from Joint Engineer Training Conference (JETC) to the following JETC.
