AFG’s Barbara Oulds Achieves CCM Designation
Barbara was the 2018 recipient of the Women Builders Council’s Outstanding Women Award in recognition of her exceptional leadership in the A/E/C industry.
AFG Group, Inc. (AFG) congratulates Barbara Oulds, AFG NYC Deputy Director of Operations, on her recent Certified Construction Manager (CCM) designation.
Given by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI), this distinction connects Barbara to a level of CM practitioners who have achieved the pinnacle of their profession, and who are committed to delivering the highest standard of service possible. Certification is paramount in the growing recognition of the construction management profession.
“Barbara now joins the ranks of her fellow CCM’s at AFG, who have achieved industry recognition for her professionalism, technical knowledge and experience in the world of Construction Management,” says AFG President, Michael H. O’Connor, PE.
Barbara joined AFG in 2011, and has since served on several key AFG projects including the Queens Borough Hall Atrium Construction which was nominated for a 2017 CMAA NY/NJ Project of the Year Award, the NYC Housing Authority (NYCHA) Exterior and Roofing Repairs and Renovations Projects, and the NYCHA Hurricane Assessments in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
In 2018, Barbara was the recipient of the Women Builders Council’s Outstanding Women Award in recognition of her exceptional leadership in the A/E/C industry. She holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Masters degree in Project Management, and her certification in US Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management (USACE-CQM).
