Aug 17, 2018 – AFG has reached substantial completion in the construction management of the $5.8M, U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Presidential Towers Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals (OMHA) Renovation Project. This project involved combining two separate lease spaces into a combined location of 53,053sqft located at the Crystal City Presidential Towers in Virginia, to meet the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) goal of lowering their economic footprint. AFG’s Project Manager, Jose Avila, CMIT, assisted the GSA PM in managing the day-to-day operations, scheduling, and construction process including tenant move-in. Through his oversight, AFG was able to produce multiple cost savings throughout the project life-cycle, totaling nearly $1M in the client’s favor.
