AFG Awarded GSA Design & CM Services Contract for US DEA Headquarters Modernization

Nov 27, 2018 – AFG Group, Inc. (AFG) was recently awarded the contract to provide design and construction management services to the U.S. General Services Administration for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) at their Arlington, Virginia headquarters.

Nov 27, 2018 – AFG Group, Inc. (AFG) was recently awarded the contract to provide design and construction management services to the U.S. General Services Administration for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) at their Arlington, Virginia headquarters.

The DEA’s Headquarters, which includes a visitor center and museum, will undergo a renovation and modernization of over 500,000 sqft for their nearly 2,500 on-site employees. During this project, AFG will provide support in design management, construction management, cost estimation, and inspections. The building is owned by CSHV Lincoln Place, LLC and the DEA Headquarters space is under a GSA Lease.

Andrew Shipman, CCM, LEED AP, is heading up the AFG team on the DEA Headquarters project as the Design Construction Manager. Shipman brings over 30 years of experience in construction management services, and has served as the Senior Project Manager on multiple AFG Group projects that received Regional and National Project of the Year Awards from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA).
