Under the contract with the General Services Administration (GSA) for the Department of State’s Diplomatic Courier, AFG is overseeing the combined renovations of the first-floor warehouse and existing office space for the Diplomatic Couriers office on mezzanine levels in the Miami International Airport, in Miami, FL.  Construction will include the addition of a fence and electronic gate on the rooftop parking deck. In total, this project will cover 26,770 square feet. In addition to construction management, AFG is providing inspection, cost estimating, scheduling, and move management services on this project.

The Miami International Airport, operated by the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, first opened in 1928 with the main terminal building dating to 1959.  It is the 13th busiest airport in the United States, with over 45 million passengers traveling through in 2018.  Additionally, the Miami International Airport has handled more international cargo than any other US airport, serving 2.3 million tons of freight in 2018 alone.
