AFG Group Announces Appointment of Four New Vice Presidents

Sally Clark, CPSM has been promoted to Vice President, Director of Marketing & Communications.

Sally has worked tirelessly with AFG operational, human relations and business units to establish and expand AFG’s Client & Employee Engagement programs and develop a consistent and cohesive message to all parties. She will now oversee all corporate marketing and communications, continuing to elevate AFG’s reputation as a proven leader. Sally is a Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Mid-Maryland Post Past President, the Vice-Chair Elect for the SAME Small Business Council on National Conferences, and recipient of the 2019 SAME Post Small Business Liaison Officer of the Year Award.

Kai Goodrich, CCM, CHC, LEED AP has been promoted to Vice President.

Since joining AFG, Kai has overseen several significant programs for AFG throughout the Mid-Atlantic area, including the $750M Phase II Program for the General Services Administration (GSA) on the US Department of Homeland Security Consolidation onto the St. Elizabeths Campus in Washington DC. He is currently serving his second term as Treasurer with the Construction Management Association of America’s National Capital Chapter, and in recent years has won 3 Project of the Year awards from CMAA for projects he managed.

Dean Rowell has been promoted to Vice President.

Dean has been key to AFG’s expansion throughout the Southeast. Significant among his accomplishments is managing AFG work in Texas and winning and managing AFG’s CM services for federal projects in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Dean will now be responsible for developing and directing additional opportunities throughout these states, but also in the Central and Western regions, further assisting AFG’s expansion on a nationwide basis.

John Thrower, CCM, LEED AP has been promoted to Vice President.

John oversees numerous signature projects within the National Capital Area, including the new Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial, the Ronald Reagan Building and specialized spaces for various agencies including the US Department of State (DOS), US Agency for International Development (USAID), and the US Custom and Border Patrol (CBP). Recently, John assumed command of AFG’s relocation planning and move management services and will now incorporate that into his growing portfolio while expanding AFG into other National Capital based agencies and clients.
