AFG Group, Inc. was awarded a five year IDIQ (term) contract to provide full Construction Management services for projects at multiple locations throughout the boroughs of Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island. The scope of the projects include interior renovations, exterior rehabilitations, exterior site work, and modernization of building systems, and can involve emergency or time-critical projects. These projects often are executed in occupied buildings and require sensitive but expeditious management. AFG’s first assigned project is the $18 million renovation to the Midtown Community Court building, located in midtown Manhattan. This building is designated a New York Historic Landmark. The courthouse is a 6-story building, approximately 43,000 SF in size. The renovation consists of an extensive amount of mehanical, plumbing and electrical upgrades, as well as interior architectural and exterior facade repairs. Since this is a historic landmark, all exterior work must be approved and carefully executed. |
