Since 2006, AFG has been providing comprehensive program and facility management support services to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Office of Research Operations for 1 million SF of biomedical research laboratories and administrative spaces. AFG managed the Building 6610 Rockledge consolidation project, a multi-phase renovation project, over 6 floors, approximately 127,000 SF. AFG was responsible for oversight of renovations, temporary space alterations, planning and managing the relocation of staff and equipment. The number of occupants increased from 478 to 700 personnel.

During design, AFG and conducted over 2,000 space studies, density analyses, and utilization studies to improve the function and layout efficiency and effectiveness of the new renovated spaces. AFG also developed cost estimates for the demolition and build-out, procurement and installation of systems furniture and demountable wall systems, and associated move-out and occupancy costs related to swing space and temporary storage.
